Dennis Magana
Director -Enrollment and Community Outreach
Dennis Magana has been selected as BridgePoint’s founding Director of Enrollment and Community Outreach. He will lead student recruitment, family engagement, community outreach, and enrollment systems while helping establish BridgePoint as a trusted and visible presence throughout Mesa County.
Dennis brings extensive healthcare leadership and management experience to BridgePoint. Most recently, he has served as a Medical Assistant Supervisor with River Valley Family Health Centers, where he oversees a team of medical professionals and supports clinical operations across Western Slope locations. Previously, as Medical Assistant and Patient Health Navigator Manager at MarillacHealth, Dennis managed 24 Medical Assistants and Patient Health Navigators across six clinics between Grand Junction and Montrose. His responsibilities included hiring, onboarding, training, staff supervision, quality improvement, inventory management, and collaboration with medical and organizational leadership.
His experience is particularly well aligned with BridgePoint’s mission. Dennis helped implement two school-based health clinics in Grand Junction, coordinating staffing, training, and supplies to support their successful operation. He also brings years of direct clinical experience as a Medical Assistant and Lab Director, providing firsthand knowledge of the healthcare environments and entry-level professions BridgePoint students will encounter.
Dennis is bilingual in Spanish and English and brings strengths in communication, mentoring, relationship-building, conflict resolution, and collaboration. These skills will be especially valuable as BridgePoint works to recruit a student body reflective of the broader Mesa County community and intentionally reaches families who may not traditionally have had access to specialized college and career pathways.
Dennis will develop and implement BridgePoint’s comprehensive enrollment and outreach strategy, including family information sessions, community events, partnerships with youth-serving organizations, student ambassador programs, school tours, digital and print communications, and direct outreach to prospective students and families. He will oversee enrollment processes and systems and work closely with the Executive Director to strengthen relationships with healthcare employers, higher education partners, and community organizations.
His combination of local healthcare leadership, bilingual communication skills, community relationships, and experience with school-based healthcare initiatives makes him particularly well positioned to connect BridgePoint’s mission with the students, families, and healthcare community the school was created to serve.
